I like eating nut fruits; they are my favorable snacks.  Yesterday I drove 15 miles to a wholesale store to buy a variety of nuts, simple because the store claimed it has the most inexpensive nuts in town.  Well, nuts are never inexpensive fruits, whether in the States or in Taiwan.  (I guess partly because people have to remove the hard shells from botanical nuts before making them edible.)

Generally, nuts abound vegetarian fat and other nourishing elements that are good to your health, e.g. for brain and heart, as long as you do not take them too many.  You know, I am a pre-diabetes "patient", so I would be moderate in taking regular meals, but I would take some nuts in between to lessen the sense of hunger.

FYI, following are nuts that are frequently seen in markets:

walnut(核桃)

pecan(山核桃)

cashew(腰果)

pistachio(開心果/開口笑)

almond(杏仁)

pine nut(松子/松仁)

pumpkin seed(白瓜子/南瓜子)

chestnut(板栗)

P.S.  Wishing you guys all a healthy and happy 2019!
