被許多歌手翻唱過

美國黑人歌手／鋼琴家納京高（Nat king Cole, 1919-1965）領軍的樂團京高三人組（The King Cole Trio）於１９４６年６月先灌錄第一個［The Christmas Song］版本

但因不滿意沒發行

１９４６年８月灌錄第二版本, 編曲稍作改變, 成為一首絃樂與鋼琴主導聖誕抒情曲  溫暖和煦

１１月發行後在Billboard流行榜／R&B拿到良好成績

１９５３年, 單飛的納京高重新灌錄此曲, 採用原有編曲, 以及指揮家尼爾森瑞鐸（Nelson Riddle）編排的管絃樂團

１９６１年, 納京灌錄第四個版本, 採用立體音響（stereophonic）, 以及Ralph Carmichael指揮的管絃樂團

一般認為這是最佳版本

此版登上瑞典榜＃２８　紐西蘭＃９７

１９９１年拿到英國榜＃５１

２０１７年－２０１８年再度打入美國Billboard單曲榜, 最高登上＃２４

１９７４年列入葛萊美名人堂中的則是１９４６年的第二版

儘管後世有眾多藝人重新詮釋, 納京高仍是公認最出色版本
