敬之 - 周頌23.詩經288
敬之敬之，天維顯思， 命不易哉，無曰高高在上。
陟降厥士，日監在茲，
維予小子，不聰敬止。
日就月將，學有緝熙于光明，
佛時仔肩，示我顯德行。
虔誠恭敬浩瀚皇天，上帝心思多麼彰顯， 天命不是長久不變，並非聖神高聳在天。
邦國群臣上下勤奮，明察秋毫日夜察監，
登上王位我尚懵懂，聰明不足豈敢不恭。
期望日月建立奇功，努力學習邁向光明，
眾臣輔佐肩擔大任，啟示我心明德通行。
Sincerely worship the almighty King of heaven, For the thought of God is so prominent,
The divine decree from heaven will not last long,
Not because the holy God is high in heaven.
Officials of the whole nation are diligent, They are scrutinizing and alerting day and night,
Though enthroned when I was young,
I will not stop respecting even I am incompetent.
Wish to keep accomplishing the great commission, Learning new knowledge drives me to a brilliant land,
Carry out heavy duties with officials’ assistance,
Enlighten and move me forward with moral radiance.

【註】〈敬之〉是〈詩經.周頌〉的第23首，其序文是「群臣進戒嗣王也。」《毛詩正義》解釋說：「《敬之》詩者，群臣進戒嗣王之樂歌也。謂成王朝廟，與群臣謀事，群臣因在廟而進戒嗣王。詩人述其事，而作此歌焉。…成王既謀於廟，群臣進而戒之曰：王當敬其事而行之。敬其事而行之，天之臨下，乃光明顯見，去惡與善，其命吉凶，不變易哉。王無得稱曰：此天乃高而又高在上，以為不見人之善惡而不畏。天乃升降以行其事，謂轉運日月，照臨四方，日日視人，其神近在於此，不為遠也。王既承其戒，答之以謙曰：維我小子，不聰達於此敬之之意。言己心不能達，將欲以漸學之，令日有所成就，月有所可行。且欲學作有光明之事，於彼光明之人，謂賢中之賢，乃從之學。又大是相克勝之道。汝等群臣，當示導我以顯明之德行。是王求戒之言也。」 |
