Hi, my friend,

Today, I want to share with you something nice and interesting. I just finished watching a Disney cartoon which let me laugh with those funny and charming characters inside the film. The plot of the film is easy but meaningful—A trip to rescue the lion’s son and a journey to find one’s true born ability or follow one’s instinct, and an unknown wild adventure with the supportive assistance from the trustworthy friends. In the process of rescuing Ryran, the lion Sammy not only helps himself to overcome his fear and self doubts but also helps his son to find how to roar like a brave lion. I especially enjoy the conversation between Benny, the smart squirrel, and the lion, Sammy.

Benny: Come on, Sam. You are a lion. You come from a long line of kings. Yeah, maybe you’re not from the wild, but fighting is in your blood!

Sammy: No, I’ll never be a real lion.

Benny: Wrong! You are a real lion. Doesn’t matter where you’re from: Zoo, Jungle, Goldfish bowl. It’s what’s in here—Your heart. That determines who you are. At least, that’s what you always told your son. Now he’s out there, Sammy. And he needs you. Who else is gonna teach him how to roar? That’s it. That’s it, Sammy. That’s it.

Sammy: Let’s go find my son and our friends.

Benny: Yeah. Nothing’s gonna stop us. Except that we have no ideas where we’re going.

Sammy: I know. Follow my instinct. Follow my instinct and we can find the way. We can find the way.

In the journey of life, we need this kind of friend who can be supportive enough and reminds us something important when we are down and frustrated.  I wish to be this type of friend toward my friends as well. I always believe “A friend in need is a friend indeed.” A friend should be the one who is trustworthy, reliable, supportive, and the one who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

Let’s sing together and I’ll sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

The most important of all is to sing with smiles.
