Hi, my friend,

It is nice to greet you good morning on this wonderful Sunday morning. I just want to share you with a family comedy—Cheaper by the Dozen2 and here are some great lines about family values . Wish you enjoy it as well. Most important of all, here comes another saving in my happy piggy bank. The feeling of depositing some invisible happy thoughts or thinkable lines is awesome and fantastic.

The Baker Family is celebrating Lorraine's High School Graduation. At the graduation, Lorraine announces that she the will be moving to NY to work as an assistant for a fashion magazine at Allure Magazine and Nora who is married to Bud McNulty and is very pregnant announces that she is moving out as well. Charlie now works in a garage, hoping to open one of his own. Depressed by the news that their family is separating, Tom and Kate decide to have one last big family gathering at their favorite family vacation spot Lake Winnetka before they all go onto their own lives, so they invite everyone to an old cabin on a lake.

After their kids announce their future plans and are about to venture out on their own, Tom feels downs and comes out with an idea to put together all the family members for a family trip.
Kate: Are you Ok?
Tom: Somehow I thought it’d get easier. Ten minutes ago, they were all over us. Now they don’t want to be seen with us in public.
Tom: Go back to the lake. The whole family on vacation, like we used to. That’s exactly why we should do it, Kate. We said it. Life is blazing by.

Tom meets up with his old rival Jimmy who tries to show off all his success and prove to Tom that he's a better man and a better father. But Tom refuses to let Jimmy prove him that he's the better man.
Jimmy: Parenting comes down to one word “Push.” If you don’t push, they don’t do anything.
Tom: I think it’s a little more complicated.
Jimmy: Is it?

There is one scene moved me deeply. The conversation between Kate ( Mom) and Lora( Daughter) about the name for the new born baby. Lora and Bud have decided to name their son after their dad (dad-in-law)—Tom. The reason of naming their son, Tom, moved me.
Kate: You did a good job, honey. Really good job.
Kate: So any ideas on names?
Lora: I think we’re going to go with “ Tom.” “ Cause you taught us that there’s no way to be a perfect parent, but a million ways to be a really good one. And you’re about as good as they get. Say hi to Grandpa. Go on. Hey Tom.
Tom: Welcome to family.

I like the happy ending—Tom and Kate dancing joyfully with a soft but romantic music, accompany the following meaningful lines from Kate who is a mom with wisdom.

Kate: Letting go is the hardest thing you can do as a parent. You have to settle with the past, engage in the present and believe in the future. That vacation at Lake Winnetka reminded Tom and me that we’re always learning as parents, and that the bond is forever. Even as the kids grow up and venture out on their own. We’ll always be with them and they’ll always be with us. Because life is a voyage that‘s homeward bound.

Life is a process of learning. Learning to play our different roles well and learning to settle with the past, engage in the present and believe in the future.

Wish us happy on the process of learning.
Wish us happier to play our roles well.
Wish us the happiest to settle the past, engage in the present and believe in the future.
