| Learn in time to hear, understand and love the cruel truth about yourselves. Find the one who can tell you that truth and talk of your art only with those who can tell you the truth. If I have made any assertion not warranted by facts in the above statement, I will withdraw it cheerfully. The yearning of man's brain for new knowledge and experience and for more pleasant and comfortable surroundings never can be completely satisfied, restlessness is discontent and discontent is the first necessity of progress. Therefore, when you are through learning, you are through. There is a challenge that quickens the pulse, it is when anyone, who so chooses to find a kind of satisfaction rarely attainable, the subsequent experience can be more thrilling than any earth-shaking adventure. There is exhilaration in intense effort applied toward a meaningful end. One must dis-enthrall himself in order to seek out persons of greater experience than himself and arrive at greater personal development. |
