"I was rich, if not in money, in sunny hours and summer days" By Henry David Thoreau In this scientific and technological era, we struggle with trials and errors of daily life. Men often dig moats around themselves which cannot be crossed by habitual smiles from a passerby. Brilliant sunshine turns to gray gloom when the subsequent fear and stress rules over our lives so much of what we do today suddenly become frivolous and futile, so much of what we hope to accomplish tomorrow never happens. However, yesterday is a dream, but well lived today makes every yesterday a dream of happiness. Trouble would pass, the most humdrum experiences can be charged with shining wonder if only we will remember the old good days enshrined in memory, which are never lost. |
