A daily allowance paid by the company to salespeople or employees who are traveling in connection with their job.

per diem 是拉丁文,意思是 per day each day,指的是公司付給因公出差的業務員或員工的每日零用錢(daily allowance)

A: My old boss was so cheap, and he didn’t even give us a per diem while we were traveling for work.

B: You mean you had to pay for all of your own meals and expenses?

A: Yes. We even had to pay if we took a customer to dinner.

B: That is terrible. This is a much better company to work for.

A:對啊。

  1. 1.      Our company is doing well, so my boss decides to raise the per diem rate for our salespeople.

  1. 2.       “Remember--to get your per diem payment you need to turn in your expense reports first.”
