婚禮中誦讀的聖經經文, 不同於我們常用的以弗所書做丈夫妻子的那段, 女兒和女婿挑了創世紀裡的這些經文, 請他們教會裡的ㄧ對年長的夫婦誦讀.

聖經經文摘錄: 創世紀ㄧ章26-28節, 創世紀二章20-25節


神說:"我們要照著我們的形像﹐按著我們的樣式造人。
      使他們管理海裡的魚﹐空中的鳥﹐地上的牲畜﹐
      和全地﹐並地上所爬的一切昆蟲。"

神就照著自己的形像造人﹐乃是照著他的形像造男造女。

那人便給一切牲畜﹐和空中飛鳥﹐野地走獸都起了名。只是那人沒有遇見配偶幫助他。  耶和華　神使他沉睡﹐他就睡了。
於是取下他的一條肋骨﹐ 又把肉合起來。

耶和華　神就用那人身上所取的肋骨﹐造成一個女人﹐領他到那人跟前。

那人說: 這是我骨中的骨﹐肉中的肉﹐
        可以稱她為女人﹐因為她是從男人身上取出來的。  

當時夫妻二人﹐赤身露體﹐並不羞恥。 

因此﹐人要離開父母﹐與妻子連合﹐二人成為一體。

Genesis 1:26-28, 2:20-25  (NIV) 

Then God said,

"Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let
them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created
him; male and female he created them.

God blessed them and said to them,

"Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.  Rule over
the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds of the air
and all the beasts of the field.
     
But for Adam no suitable helper was found. 
So the LORD God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep;
and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man's ribs
and closed up the place with flesh.

Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken
out of the man, and he brought her to the man.

The man said,
       "This is now bone of my bones 
                    and flesh of my flesh;
              she shall be called 'woman, '
         for she was taken out of man."

For this reason a man will leave his father and mother
and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.

The man and his wife were both naked, and they felt no shame.
