AUN J　和楽器古典楽団

「音楽に国境はない。しかし国籍はある」という思いから、和楽器の可能性を追求し、世界に向けて発信している良平と公平は、和太鼓、三味線、篠笛を奏でる双子ユニット「AUN（あうん）」において精力的に活動を行っている。2009年には、AUNが邦楽界で活躍する若手ミュージシャンを集めて、もっとポピュラーに、もっとシンプルに、もっとかっこよく和楽器の素晴らしさをアピールしていくプロジェクト「AUN J クラシック・オーケストラ」を結成し、国内外で演奏活動を行っている。伝統的な和楽器の特色を生かしつつ、現代の人々の感性と融合させた彼らの活動は、日本から世界へ新しい音楽史を紡ぐフロントランナーの役割を担っている。

"Music has nationalities,but does not have borders.” It was this notion that started Ryohei&Kohei journey to explore the potential of Japanese musical instruments, and to transmit their sound to the world. Together with his twin brother, Ryohei gives energetic performances on the Japanese drum, shamisen and shinbone flute under the stage name AUN. in 2009, Ryohei started the AUN J-Classic Orchestra,a project that brings together young musicians in the world of Japanese music.The orchestra gives performances both nationally and internationally to widen the appeal of traditional Japanese instruments in a way that is accessible,simple and stylish. By fusing the sound of traditional Japanese instruments with the tastes of a modern audience, AUN J-Classic Orchestra is leading the way in creating a new chapter in music history.

双子ユニット18歳の時、世界ではじめて和太鼓を広めた鬼太鼓座に参加。数年後には、全米一周１万５千キロという距離を３年かけてマラソン走破し、３００回以上のステージをこなす中、４回のニューヨークカーネギーホール公演を成功させる。１２年間、座の中心的プレイヤーとして、国内外で１０００回を超える公演活動を行う。２０００年、新しい表現を求め、AUNを結成する。２００１年デビューと同時に「D.A.S.H~喜怒哀楽」をリリース。新たな和楽器奏者としての魅力を伝える。その後、海外を含む公演活動の傍ら、古来から伝わる和楽器と未来へ繋がるエレクトロニックを融合させ、日本の伝統文化をふまえた新たなオリジナルサウンドを創り出し、2005年に２作目「E.A.S.T」をBMG JAPANよりリリース。太鼓、三味線、笛などの和楽器の魅力を最大限に引き出した新しいミクスチャーミュージックを収録する。ゲストに元エクストリームのギタリスト、ヌーノ・ベッテンコート、ファンキーベーシストTMスティーブンスを迎え、NYでレコーディング。和楽器とデジタルサウンドを融合した、ライブパフォーマンスを魅力に、進化し続ける表現力で日本の伝統文化の新たな可能性を聴衆に感じさせた。[EAST]ツアー・ファイナルはNYマンハッタンのワールドミュージックの御殿であるSOB’Sで行われ、AUN USAデビューライブは大成功を収めた。２００６年日本文化継承を伝える活動をニューヨークにも広げ、１年半ほどNYでの活動を行い、マンハッタンでのライブ活動や、全米各地のフェスティバルへ参加。その年には外務省に招聘され南米ガテマラ、コスタリカ、コロンビア・ツアーも成功させた。そのような 世界各地34カ国にわたる演奏活動が認められ、０６年国土交通省「ビジットジャパン・キャンペーン」をプロデュース。そのテーマソングを作曲、演奏も行い、日本の伝統と今を伝える双子の和楽器奏者、AUNの良平公平は、 日本が世界に発信する新しい形として注目を集めている。2008年には、８名による和楽器だけのAUN J-クラシック・オーケストラを結成。いままでにないジブリの魅力を存分に発揮した和楽器だけのアルバム「和楽器でジブリ」を発売し好評を得ている。また森林保護を推進する環境保護プロジェクト「株式会社ハートツリー」と協力して、売り上げの一部を里山再生のための寄付も行う。今回は長野県上田市にある長野大学と提携し、学校敷地内に「AUN長野大学恵みの森」を作る。また2010年２月に、AUN J-クラシック・オーケストラとしての２枚目のアルバム「桜-SAKURA-」をリリース。このCDは奈良吉野の桜の保全のために売り上げの一部を寄付する環境への取り組みも積極的に行われている。また2011年の２月にはAUN J クラシック・オーケストラとして初のオリジナルアルバム「「道~Road~」を発売。このCDも売り上げの一部を全国の小学校へ和楽器を購入するために寄付を行っている。また2012年には「美しき日本の響き」をリリース。そして2013年には「八人の響き J-Classic2」を発表。この5枚は台湾でもリリースされている。いま、「和楽器の再発見」をテーマに、大人から子供までも魅了する彼らのパフォーマンスからは目が離せない。ブランドとして「AUN J-クラシック・オーケストラ」と、邦楽の新しいジャンル、「J-クラシック」の確立を目指している。また鼓童に17年間在籍したスタープレイヤーである鳴物師秀とともにAUN&HIDEを結成。スーパートリオとして3人だけのオリジナル楽曲やライブを展開している。2012年には「ONE ASIA」のアルバムもリリースしている。

With more than one thousand years ofhistory in Japanese traditional music, and the beautiful and unique sounds ofthose instruments, has now spawned a very original fusion of today's music,mixed with the tradition of old.
The result is AUN, Twin brothers Ryohei and Kohei Inoue, born in 1969, aversatile band where each member is a virtuoso in his own right, performsTaikos, Samisen and Fue(Japanese flute) appearing 4 times at CARNEGIE HALL, NY and has received EMMY AWARDS as a leading member of ONDEKOZA, a legendary Japanese taikodrum troupe with over 30 years experience of world touring. Ryohei and Koheijoined when they were 18 and performed more than 1000 shows in 16 countriesduring 12 years with that group. In 2000, they launched their exploration ofthe highly individual style of music as a unit named AUN and have released twoalbums; “DASH” and “EAST” featuring TM Stevens as a bassist and producer, NunoBettencourt as a guitarist. AUN, in 2006 produced “Visit Japan” campaign songoffered by Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism and took areal step to send their message overseas with Japanese traditional instrumentssound. In 2008, their experimentalism has yielded the brand new concept called AUN J-Classic Orchestra, of which musicperformed by purely Japanese traditional instruments such as Koto andShakuhachi as well as Taiko, Samisen and Fue. The orchestra has released 3albums called “Wagakki de Ghibli,” “Sakura,” and “Michi-Road-.” Theirperformance is not only amazing in their execution of the musical compositions,it is also very exciting and entertaining as they encompass today's Rock &Roll, Ambient, and Bass & Drum styles that are very popular with young andold. On the other side of the group’s activity, they are taking part in theecoactivity project to regenerate forest and mountains in Japan and a portionof the revenues from their CD sales is donated to the project.
