A Not Marketable Product

The other day, a scholar and former member of think tank for DPP declared that the call for Taiwan Independence has had no market in the island any longer. Being to be expected, DDP refuted his argument. That guy later proclaimed that he is still a "stalwart supporter" for Taiwan Indenpence, but DPP needed a revised statement, a new marketable product, to continue stealing the hearts of naive voters.

Everybody knows that the de jure independence doesn't stand a chance of realiztion, atually a fat chance of that.  Therefore, the only way DPP can go is seeking a de facto independence, or an Independent Taiwan.  That means their cross-strait statement or policy should have a same ground as that of KMT, with a nuance in expression which is able to induce their supporters to make believe that someday "we shall overcome".

But for how long the policy of Independent Taiwan can sustain?  So long as Mainland China has not yet lost her patience.  Until then, at least, we are able not to be annoyed by that stupid, false proposition any more.
