I learnt from today's UDN that Mr. Jiang Bingkun, the leading protagonist of cross-strait affairs in KMT camp, suggested President Ma that in order to widen the international view of the islanders and change the vulgarity and disorder of Taiwan's media, the government should consider letting CCTV-International News and Phoenix--HK in.  Presidient Ma haven't yet responsed to the suggestion. 

I called for lifting the ban several times in my previous essays, and I thought that such a lifting must be the last thing for Taiwan to do.  Because Mr. Ma must be afraid of the sharp criticism from both internal and external objection due to the action is not of political correctness.  Furthermore, who cares the high-quality TV programs; we are the audience of voyeurism and tunnel vision, so what? 

Some people might say that why don't islanders watch CNN?  Come on, it's kind of the joke as funny as the policy that one of  DDP premiers wanted all civic servants writing official letters and memos in English.
