Like the part one, the film focuses onvarious perspectives towards human affection from different angles of menand women. Unlike the part one, that I was sure about the fundamental difference between the two genders, this time the idea the film is trying
to convey perplexed me. It seems that, with regards to marriage, men tend to accept the bondage but not necessarily to keep their words of preliminary promises; whereas, women, as long as the "feeling" is right, would stick to their love, but once that feeling is gone, they would be more liable to choose leaving than their men would. Alas, I am not quite sure about that.

Again, the director intentionally illustrates the modernity and affluence of the Mainland China today, behind Mercedeses, the pageant, chic dresses, ritzy restaurants; however, there must be backwardness of which China is yet to rid. But a line from the film demonstrates the director, and China, is still longing for the ultimate goal of socialism, and I am expecting that.

The eminent performance of Ge Yu and Shu Gi, as well as the meaningful punchlines, makes the film worthwhile to watch. A hint at the end suggests there may be a part three; I’ll surely go to watch it if so.

P.S. The male/female lead of the famous TV drama "The Mole"(潛伏) play the main cameo of the film, which, I
think, have made the whole performance more brilliant.
