This evening my wife and I will go to Oracle Arena at Oakland to watch the basketball showcase between two national teams: US. and China.  The day before yesterday, US. team trounced China at Staple Stadium, L.A. by 49 points, and that was quite a big difference.

About ten years ago, I also watched a showcase between the two teams at same arena.  It was all-NBA-star American national team took on the Yao-centered Chinese national team who finally lost the game by 30 points.  So I can assume that, with or without Yao Ming, Chinese team would make a difference of 20 points.  Yao is a tall guy, but China is never short of big men like him.  What those potential athletes lack of are basketball environment, concept, and basics.  Black players possess stronger constitution?  Even so, adequate training and nutrition could overcome the gap. 

Though just a showcase, the matchup still caused a sensation.  So my daughter advised us of not driving to the arena as to avoid possible traffic and parking problem( and expensive parking fee, too); instead, we should take BART, a public cable car, to the arena.  BTW, I must thank to my daughter who bought us the tickets online.  Thanks, Teresa.
