Zhou Qi Wang Zhelin Yesterday NBA 2016 draft selected two international players from China in second round: Zhou Qi(周琦) by Houston Rockets as 43rd pick, while Wang Zhelin(王哲林) by Memphis Grizzlies as 57th pick. Congratulations to both of them. Zhou is a skinny seven-footer, but boast of a pair of long arms and nimble feet, as well as skilled basics. He is too slim to be a competitive center in NBA, but he may be trained to become a tall small forward, like Kevin Durant. Wang, also a seven-footer, is much stonger than Zhou, and he is a prospective blue-collar center or power forward in paint area. But I dont expect either of them to reach the remarkable achievement as Yao Ming has in his NBA career, which calls for perserverance in honing basketball skills, building up physical strength, and more importantly, accommodating themselves into NBA and American culture. Anyway, their future experieces in NBA will definitely help bolster up Chinese national team in Asia and world tournaments.
