Who are they? Some members of Chinese women soccer team, who will leave for Canada next month for the World Cup, to which Chinas team has missed for eight years, and this time they are expecting a satisfactory ranking that the girls are aspiring to be there, according to UDN report. Certainly, they are beauties, too. If youre not told of their real identities, the only thought you may associate them to sports in they may be a team of cheerleaders. Because their apperances are innate, all we have to focus on their acquired performance, the talent for playing soccers. Go, girls, show the world what youve got! P.S. If I remember correctly, Chinas women soccer teams have never won championship in Olympics nor in World Cups. In 1999, when I was still working in New York, I watched the nationwide televised World Cup championship game between China and US which was held in LA. Both teams tied the game 0-0 after regular time elapsed, and finally US beat China 5-4 in PK. There was an obvious foul in one of US kicks in PK, but referee didnt make the call. So China lost the game. The US star then was Mia Hamn, and she is still the national heroine now. (She often appears in TV commericals). There was also a worldwide renowned Chinese player during that time, but Ive forgot her name.
