I translated the poem regarding a kid fishing by the river and posted it yesterday. The poem reminds me of a US pop song from the early sixties, "Mad, Mad World," sung by Ricky Nelson.
Quote
Everybodys runnin in a mad, mad world
But nobodys goin nowhere Everybodys gotta have more than the others Gotta have more than their share Ever since the devil tempted woman with an apple Weve all had a burden to bear Now the world keeps turnin, and things are gettin faster Nobodys goin nowhere They say the grass is greener on the other side When they cross over, they find Everybodys searchin like you and me Tryin to find peace of mind See that little boy fishing on the river If I could just be like him Id close my eyes and let the mad world go by If only I could be like him See that little boy fishin on the river If I could just be like him Id close my eyes and let the mad world go by If only I could be like him Id close my eyes and let the mad world go by If only I could be like him UNQTE
PS. Ricky Nelson was a handsome teenage idol in the sixties, almost emulating Elvis Presley and Pat Boone. He was killed in an air accident sometime later. FYI, the blood from his body indicated he had been cocaine-addicted.
