Finally, China ascertained that Taiwan has set trade barriers against the mainland, as many as 2509 items, since the ECFA was signed decades ago. I figure that mainland China will unilaterally terminate ECFA if DPP is to win the election in January, which will have an adverse impact on the economy of the island in all aspects but IT industries (in the short term). The only thing I want to ask the DPP administration is: why must people in Taiwan drive vehicles of Japanese and European makes instead of the cheaper and more sophisticated BYD? Why must people eat expensive eggs far from Brazel and Australia instead of the adjacent mainland China? Whod told you that you could treat the mainland as a sucker to let you use the huge surplus earned from unfair trade with the mainland and seek independence? |
