For a long time, America has tried hard to sell close combat arms to Taiwan and thus equip the island as a "porcupine." Those items include AK-47 rifles, hand grenades, portable rocket launchers, and so on. Needless to say, America was making a play for street fighting between innocent islanders and PLA so as to let mainland China be trapped in a mire.

But anybody with a sober mind would not believe that street fighting will happen because PLA must do otherwise when that day comes.
