This summer in China, the animated film "Chang An San Wan Li" enjoyed tremendous box office success. It uses poetry and notable poets to illustrate history from the early, strong, and prosperous Tang Dynasty through the An-Shi Rebellion, which marked the end of the mighty Tang Empire. The several contacts between those great poets, particularly between Li Bai and Gao Shi, are what tie the plot together.
