Now that Taiwan has totally forgotten 329 Youth Day, so let us celebrate May Fourth.

On May fouth of 1919, the wrath of young people at then Peking ignited the most significant enlightenment in modern Chinese history.  Among various thoughts and parties that striving for saving our motherland, China Communist Party founded two years later.  Less than thirty years, the enlightened youth finally established a New China on that backward, devastating land.

How about the targets that those pioneers have being pursuing: Science and Democracy?  Now we have emulated to any country on earth in scientific fields.  Democracy?  It depends on from what angle to define the term.  To me, it is the kind of democracy as illustrated in 禮運大同篇, and it is definitely not the one of Western style or the so-called Taiwanese style.

Again, let us celebrate the Youth Day of today.
