Now I am "arrested" at home in quarantine for at least ten days, and one thing I can do is watching TV.  Besides NBA play-offs, all I can watch is news coverage.  Currently, all channels are inudating audience with the hottest news of Russia-Ukraine military conflicts.  The reports and the comments regarding the conflicts from Taiwan, like its American dad, are obviously lopsided in favor of Ukraine, and some of them are canards, or even gonzo journalism.

But all newcasters on TV pronounce “俄” incorrectly in falling intonation, instead of the rising one.  Are you guys purposely making yourselves different from your counterparts in China Mainland?
