Central Agency is supposed to have been the mouthpiece of Republic of China all the time, no doubt about it. It used to be controlled by KMT only, not any more in the "democratic" time now. But now KMT is in the office, at least it should reflect KMT's basic ideas, shouldn't it? Okay, let's see how did Central Agency use the wording in reporting the news concerning either side of the strait. In the wake of those disasterous explosions taken place in Kaoshiung, another catastrophic industrial incident occurred at a Taiwanese factory in Kunshan, Jiangsu. The headline from Central Agency on this news is: "昆山台廠意外 傷亡者中無台人". What the hell are you talking about? Are you referring to a Taiwan-invested factory in other "country" having an incident and, with Schadenfreude, gloating over the casualties were all "Chineses", but no "Taiwaneses"? Just hours earlier, Chairman Xi gave his condolence to the victims' families of Kaoshiung, and now Central Agency, representing Chairman Ma, said such totally unacceptable drivel like that? Shame on you, man. I'd like to suggest Mainland conduct a quick, fair investigation and presecution on the accident, and sentence the accused without considering any extenuating circumstances for whatever reason, e.g. the political one. "台裔球星林書豪" has been the typical usage whenever Central Agency is referring to Jeremy Lin. May I ask you, idiots, is there any "ethnic Taiwanese" in race taxonomy? In so doing, like I've said many times before, you are actually hurting, not helping, Jeremy Lin's career in NBA, for your stupdiities will infuriate vast basketball fans of Mainland, which will in turn discourage the wealthy sponsors from taking part in the complicated chains of NBA business, and thus indirectly lessen the "intangible' importance of Lin in the team he is playing for. Don't you understand? (I doubt there may have some DPP relics remained in Central Agency. Purge them, Mr. Ma.) P.S. In the era of Nationist China, institutions in the name of "Central" were all KMT-affiliated, like 中央社, 中央日報, 中央軍校, 中央大學 etc.. During Sino-Japanese War, in the atmosphere of reconciliation, CCP's Xinhua Daily(新華日報) was allowed to be published in Chongqing. There was also a military papers Saodang(掃蕩報). Then the ingenious CCP bought the newspaper boys off and made them peddling the papers by chanting "新華/掃蕩/中央". KMT, you are always the loser in propaganda campaigns. |
