If you are a sports fan, you may be aware of the subject quote was angrily uttered by Liu Guoliang(劉國梁), general coach of Chinese ping pong team, sometime in a game as his response to a Jap athlete who won over a Chinese player and then made an arrogant gesture. Since then Jap ping pong players could hardly win a game from their Chinese counterparts. Certainly, Chinese ping pong team owns itself predominant superiority over any one else in the world, and that makes Mr Liu give such an order with self-confidence. No doubt about it, actual strength brings such self-confidence; in domestic and international affairs related to China, the remarkable manufacturing power and the immense market embody such an actual strength, particularly her enviable market. (See that Import Exhibition held in Shanghai not long ago; I was there one day prior to its opening, feeling an overwhelming sense of the spectacular event.) Therefore, China Mainland can select anything she wants to import, or not to import, from any areas at her own discretion, and block anyone who is unfriendly to her, for she is capable of manufacturing almost anything as substitue whenever she wants to. Such an advantage is applicable to services, including entertainment. Not long ago, Shanghai cancelled a scheduled recital show of a popular singing group from Taiwan without any prenotice. The reason? Mainland report said three members out of five of that singing group are Taidu advocates. I guess they can not profit from their Mainland "fans" any more. Dear Mainlanders, keep on making best use of your market power to strangle Taidu to death: "以後別讓他們活!"
