I have talked about Dongfeng Express, DF series middle-ranged missiles, several times in my previous writings.  Purportedly, DF-21D and DF-26 are able to hit large moving vessels within their shooting ranges, say 1000 miles; in other words, the missiles will keep any carriers at bay from coastal China because no fighters can continuously fly that far and double back to their carriers without refueling.  It may be one of the reasons that the US dares not “rescue “ Taiwan in case of conflict taken place on the strait.
