Become a nurturer Wednesday 21st July 2021
When he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion. (他看見許多的人,就憐憫他們)Matthew 9:36 NKJV
The Bible says, "The king speaks with divine wisdom; he must never judge unfairly (王口中有神的話,斷案時必無差錯)"(Proverbs 16:10 NLT). Jesus was a good leader. He loved people, but he never used them for his own ends(絕不利用他們成就個人目標). He was busy, but never too busy to stop and help them(絕不忙到停不下來幫他們). In relating the parable of the good Samaritan, Jesus said: As he travelled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him(動了慈心). He went to him...bandaged his wounds(包紮傷口), pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him (Luke 10:33-34 NIV). Note the words, took care of him(照應他). To lead someone, you must be able to influence them, and you do that by taking the time to nurture them(花時間餵養培育). At the heart of the nurturing process is a genuine care for others. If you want to help and positively influence people, you can’t dislike or disparage (瞧不起)them, because they’ll sense it. You must love and respect them. The old adage "Fake it till you make it" won’t work (古人言 "不行裝行/弄假成真" 行不通的); people know whether or not you care. Maybe you’re wondering why you need to assume a nurturing role(不明白為何要扮為人作嫁的角色); after all, isn’t that something they should get somewhere else, like from their family(應該他家人來啊)? Many of the people you come into contact with every day are desperate for encouragement(許多你每天接觸到的人亟需鼓勵), and, sadly, if they don’t get it from you, there’s no one else who will give it to them. When you become a nurturer for another person, you have a real opportunity to influence them for good (影響深遠)and for God. So become a nurturer! 原文: The Word for Today,原圖: Feifei 筆記,是 Manuka 蜂蜜喔! |
