Invictus                打不倒的勇者

Out of the night that covers me,         籠罩我的暗夜外

      William Ernest Henley (亨利威廉, 1849-1903)，19世紀英國詩人。
 

      詩人於12歲時罹患骨結核，後來病情蔓延到他的腳，為了保命，25歲時不得不將一隻腳自膝蓋予以截肢。53歲去世前，不屈不撓的他，從不向多舛的命運低頭，在與病魔奮力搏鬥的人生中，寫下了無數不朽詩作，包括了這首26歲時在病床上寫下膾炙人口的詩篇「Invictus」。

      『Invictus』這首充滿鬥志的詩，支撐諾貝爾和平獎得主、南非總統曼德拉，渡過27年漫長的黑獄苦牢生活，也是他一生奉行的座右銘。
