Mammoths Helped Plough Field I had been studying Ancient Chinese History for a while. According to the record of history books, about 4000 years ago there was an Emperor, named Shun, who used to make use of elephants to plough field in the neighborhood of Mountain Li, where is in Nowadays’ San Dong, a northern province of China. My teacher, a famous professor, told us that the fact was proved by the dug relics, including ivories and backbones, though they were missed during the 8 years of Sino-Japanese War, and there were other evidences that lots of Long-Nose Temples were found in the vicinity of Mountain Li, which could verify the Emperor and the record are true . However, lots of people laughed at the record. They said it is only a tale, there was not elephant in China. It was a big problem. Shun had been a model Emperor in Chinese History. If the record is untrue, then the model would collapse. So, I tried to check the new relics they dug form the north China. I was depressed to find a fact that truly there were elephants living in north China though, they were mammoths, not the elephants that I thought. However, after I read the articles followed I recovered my energy. The age of Mammoths lived was not that far away from us. The articles said the last mammoths were died in about 3000 years ago. The relics of abovementioned mammoths were found and dug from Wrangell Island of Russia though, it gives me a beam of light. Now that there were mammoths living in north Asia, then there could be mammoths living in North China, helping plough field.
