Quick like a shooting arrow

Fast like the light of lightning

The squirrel is speeding among leaves and trees

Regardless of ruggedness and precipices, as though walking upon flat ground

From this branch to that trunk

Wave-like curves are drawn

Through camouflages after camouflages in no time

Strong of body and light in flight, incomparably

From day to day it shuttles in the woods

It hops here, and skips there

Like a bird flying in the boundless sky

Frolicking, fruit-picking, filling the stomach …

Of course, sometimes

It also stops to rest, and to sleep

To unload weariness

And to collect energy for the next activity

Oh, squirrel, how enviable you are!

The Creator has prepared a forest

For you as your asset

Where you can hop and skip, from this branch to that trunk

You can frolick, pick fruit, and fill your stomach

You can stop to rest, and to sleep

Just make the best of it!

Oh, how free and leisurely you are!
