紅冠水雞之家

這個小水池裡住著
一個紅冠水雞的和樂之家
每天傍晚作完運動之後
我都會來看望牠們

牠們是由一對父母和一個孩子組成的
牠們的家就築在水邊的一叢蘆葦近根處
起先我看到的是當母親的在家看顧孩子
當父親的來到水池裡尋找食物
最常見的是啄那大萍上的小白蟲，加上愛
用嘴銜回去給當母親的吃，並餵飽孩子
有時當母親的也來到水池裡覓食
最近連孩子也出來了
這時牠們已不只是在尋食了
孩子已長大到需要教導了
父母親便帶牠們的孩子來學習各種技能：
游泳，潛水，尋食，保護自己……
樣樣要學，以便慢慢可以自立
當然也作一些休閒娛樂活動

每天傍晚作完運動之後
我總要來看望牠們
看到牠們在西斜的彩霞中
一家載浮載沉，和和樂樂地生活
心中禁不住欣喜與羨慕：

但願這個世界上的每一個家庭，每一個人
都能過和樂安全的日子！

The family of Swamp Chicken      HsuChiCheng

There is a family on good terms of the swamp chicken
Lives in the little pond
I always come to visit them
After I finished my exercise in the dusk

It composes of a pair of parents and a child
The family builds near the root of the reeds by the water
At first I found is the mother take care her child at the family
The father comes to the pond to search for food
The most often is pecked the little white insects on the big duckweed, plus the love
Holds in the mouth back for the mother to have meal, and feed the child
Sometimes the mother comes out to search for food on the pond too
Even the child comes out also recently
They not only search food at that time
The child is grown enough for need to teach
The parents carry their child to teach every kind of skill:
Swim, dive, search food, safeguard himself…
Every kinds of skill need to learn, in order to stand on own legs slowly
Of course to do some rest and leisure exercise also

I always come to visit them
After I finished my exercise in the dusk
On looking them whole family living with
Now pop up, now sink, harmoniously
I can’t help joyful and admire:

Wish every family and everybody on the world
Can live with harmonious and safe
