Love not me for comely grace, 莫愛我因我端莊優雅的舉止， For my pleasing eye or face, 因我討喜的雙眼或面容， Nor for any outward part: 也莫為我外在所見： No, nor for a constant heart! 不，也不要為我忠貞之心！ For these may fail or turn to ill: 只因這些終會衰微或變遷： Should thou and I sever. 一旦你我分離。 Keep, therefore, a true woman’s eye, 為此，保留真正女子之眼， And love me still, but know not why! 愛我吧，但不知道為什麼！ So hast thou the same reason still 如是你才能有相同的理由 To dote upon me ever. 溺愛我直到永久。 (first published in 1609) |
