柯波拉的新電影泰特羅(Tetro)是一部很有趣的電影。(台灣在6月11日上映了)一個自我放逐到阿根廷的作家被迫與他流浪的弟弟重逢。兄弟之間與他們和家庭的關係由班尼(弟弟)發現泰特羅(哥哥)荒廢已久散落的手稿串連起來。導演用黑白和彩色區別在阿根廷與在美國的場景,顏色的運用也形成不同的氛圍。音樂,另一個氛圍的決定性因素,在這部電影中也非常的適切。整體而言,這是一部我在看完以後不會覺得浪費掉時間的電影。 然而,我畢竟不是完全滿意的。這個故事可以更好,如果班尼是泰特羅擬想出的虛構人物。當然,班尼的虛構性必須讓觀眾不易察覺,只有在電影最終才能明白。班尼的存在是為了泰特羅拯救自己而存在。泰特羅可以藉著班尼彌補他與他父親破離的關係,承認自己最終是作家的命運,而不是他父親心中的成功的原型,最後與他自己和平相處。 Francis Coppola's new movieTetro is quite intriguing. A self-expatriated writer in Argentina is forced to reunion with his younger brother working on a ship. The relationship of the two brothers and of the family that the protagonist(Tetro) escaped from is gradually shaped by Bennie's(the young brother)discovery of Tetro's writings in scattered pieces of paper. The difference between B/W(black and white) and colors represents two different places: B/W in Argentina; colors in the US. The mood of the movie is herehence formed around it. The music, another important element of mood-moding, is also appropriate. Overall, it is a film that I wouldn't have felt wasting my time after watching it. However, I am not totally content. The story would have been better if Bennie was a fictional character that Tetro created in his head. Of course, he has to be only designated subtly in the film that the audience can not suspect. Bennie should have been a character only in Tetro's conscience for Tetro's redemption of life: his relationship with his father, his destiny as a writer, his pursuit for compensating his remnant self. |
