You mean like a small round mark or dot?
Yes. But the word spot has other meanings, too.
Spot can mean a certain place, right?
That’s right.
You can talk about a good spot for swimming or a good spot for hiking or maybe a spot to park your car.
Right.
There are many idioms using the word spot, too.
If something is spot-on完全正確的 it means something is exactly right.
And if you’re in a tight spot處於困境,走投無路 it means you’re in a difficult situation.
Spot can also be a verb.
If you spot something, you see it.
I spot something in your hand.
What is it?
Oh, this is a card with many spots.
But I only spot one.
Well, there’s one spot here but four spots here.
Huh, and three spots here.
And how many on the other side?
There’s eight.
Wow, I’m seeing spots before my eyes.
