經過與眼睛已經看不清楚, 腦筋因為放射與藥物治療超級興奮的學蔓, 八卦和討論之後, 學蔓請大家集中火力先寫信給歐普拉的製作人.

Dear Oprah,

We are writing this letter for our friend Vicky, who is an American Citizen living in Taiwan and suffering from breast cancer at the terminal stage. Vicky is very positive in her condition and never stops giving hope. She writes a book about her story and also gives many speeches in public and schools to encourage people to face their destiny.

One of her most urging wish at present is to find the dad of her 13 year-old son who disappears and seems to abandon the kid on purpose for years. She loves your show and the love-caring you. She cannot see clear or even type because of the metastasis of the cancer to her brain, but is currently clear and asks us to speak and send the mail for her.

She wonders if her condition can be revealed in your show so that she can help her son the last time to find his missing dad. Please see the details written by her brother from the attachment of the letter.

Dear Oprah,

I am writing this letter on behalf of my friend Vicky who is a big fan of you to ask for your generous help. Vicky has been suffering from breast cancer since 1999. With the metastasis spreading to her brain and weakening her eyesight so badly that she is not able to write any message to you at this moment.

Vicky is an American citizen living in Taiwan with her 9-year-old boy Timothy. Her ex-husband Travis who is an American living in California and the father and holder of the child's custody, unfortunately, seemed to have abandoned the child 7 years ago deliberately. Vicky and her family have tried repeatedly to contact him, only to find out that he refused to talk to them. They also have tried to get legal help from the Californian government, however, in vain.

It is absolutely heartbreaking to see Vicky suffer not only from the unbearable physical pains but also from the psychological pain that she might not live long enough to bring up her child, and that her ex-husband has not made any effort so far to fulfill his obligations as a parent and custodian.

Vicky is fighting desperately to survive, with perhaps her very last wish that Timothy will finally get to meet his dad very soon. On the other hand, if Travis has determined not to exercise his right of child custody, it would be high time now to speak to Vicky to make sure that Timothy will be taken care of in future by his closest relatives in Taiwan. We are all praying for Vicky and hoping that this message will reach you soonest.

謝謝阿姐相助這是沉重卻甜蜜的負擔我敬佩學蔓的不屈不撓她也希望許多心情低落的人要相信身體不好都可以奮鬥心情低落更不要輕易放棄自己像阿姐就是另一位勇士
