The Little Bottle Cap DingDing

叮叮是一個小瓶蓋，他從一出生就知道自己不會是個大人物。

DingDing was a little bottle cap. It had known it will never be a VIP after it was born.

當叮叮在瓶蓋學校讀書的時候，校長總是告訴每一位學生：「聽好了，我們都是瓶蓋。在我們瓶蓋學校，你們不用學語文、數學、音樂或是藝術，你們只需要知道怎樣把瓶子蓋緊，不會讓液體流出來就可以了。記住！你們一點都不重要，你們只是小瓶蓋，噹不噹？」

When DingDing studied in the bottle cap school, the principle always told every students, “Listen! We’re all bottle caps. In our bottle cap school, you don’t need to learn languages, maths, music or arts. All you need to know is how to close the bottle tightly and don’t let the liquid out of the bottle. Remember! You’re not important at all. You’re just little bottle caps. DangDang?”

在瓶蓋語裡，「噹不噹？」就是「懂不懂？」的意思。所以的小瓶蓋都大聲回答：「噹！」

“DangDang?” means “Understand?” in bottle cap language. All little bollte caps answered loudly, “DangDang!”

在瓶蓋學校升校旗典禮時，老師們和學生們會唱瓶蓋校歌：「小瓶蓋，沒人愛，沒人睬，小瓶蓋，真悲哀，沒未來 5 ‧5 1 - -3‧3 2 - - 5 ‧5 6 1 - - 6 ‧6 5 1-- 1‧2 5 3 - - 2‧1 1 - -」哇，真是一首悲傷的歌啊！

In the ceremony of raising bottle cap school flag, the teachers and students would sing SBCS - the Song of Bottle Cap School, “Bottle caps, you’re so poor. you’re so sad. Nobody care you. Nobody love you to the end. 5 ‧5 1 - -3‧3 2 - - 5 ‧5 6 1 - - 6 ‧6 5 1-- 1‧2 5 3 - - 2‧1 1 - - ” Wow, it’s really a sad song.

不過還好，所有的小瓶蓋只要在學校裡讀三天就可以畢業了，那時會有一輛卡車載他們去工作。

Anyway, fortunately, it only took 3 days stayed in the school and all bottle caps could be graduated 1and a big truck would took them to work.

所有的瓶蓋在卡車上都很緊張，包括叮叮。他們彼此討論著：「你猜我們會替什麼瓶子工作啊？」「我不知道耶，也許是汽水瓶，也許是啤酒瓶。」「我希望不是醬油瓶，噁～」「對啊，也拜託不是辣油瓶。」「沒錯，絕對不要，哈哈哈…」叮叮問：「我不能自己選嗎？」所有的小瓶蓋回答說：「不可能。」叮叮不喜歡這樣，他想：「我不要別人控制我的命運，我要自己選擇我的夥伴。」

All bottle caps were so nervous in the truck, including DingDing. They talked to each other, “You guess what bottle we’ll work for?” “I don’t know. Maybe soda bottle, maybe beer bottle.” “I hope it’s not bean soy bottle. Yuck~” “Yes, and hope not spicy oil, please.” “That’s right, definitely no! Ha Ha Ha…” “Cannot choose by myself?” asked DingDing. “No, impossible!” Every bottle caps replied. DingDing didn’t like it. He thought, “I don’t want others control my destiny. I want choose my partner by myself.”

正當卡車在轉彎的時候，突然，叮叮從卡車上跳出來了！他滾啊滾，滾啊滾的，沿著路，滾下階梯，最後停在河岸旁。有一隻小螞蟻坐在石頭上，看著小河。叮叮問：「嗨，我的朋友，你在做什麼？」小螞蟻說：「我要過河，可是我沒有船。」叮叮說：「沒問題，我是你的船，歡迎上船。」

Just when the truck turned around, suddenly, DingDing jumped out of the truck! It rolled and rolled, rolled and rolled, along the road, down the stairway and finally stopped by a river bank. There’s a little ant sat on a rock and looked at the river. “Hello, my friend, what are you doing?” asked DingDing. “I want to go across the river but I don’t have a boat.” Said the little ant. “No problem, I’m your boat. Welcome aboard.” said DingDing.

叮叮就像一艘船，載著小螞蟻一起航行過河。小螞蟻好感激：「太謝謝你了，你真是一個好朋友和一艘好船。」叮叮感覺好快樂。

DingDing took the little ant just like it was a boat and sailed across the river together. “Thank you so much. You’re really a good friend and good boat.” The little ant was so grateful and DingDing felt so happy.

然後，叮叮繼續在小河裡航行，來到了一個美麗的海岸。有一位小女孩一個人坐在海岸邊。叮叮問：「嗨，我的朋友，你在做什麼？」小女孩回答：「我沒有朋友，沒有人和我玩，我覺得好孤單。」叮叮說：「沒問題，我們一起玩，好不好？」

Then, DingDing continued sailing on the river and it reached a beautiful sea shore. There’s a little girl sitting alone on the sea shore. “Hello, my friend, what are you doing?” asked DingDing. “I have no friend. Nobody play with me. I feel so lonely.” Replied the little girl. “No problem. Let’s play together. All right?” said DingDing.

叮叮跳啊跳，繞著小女孩跳，他印出了一個環繞小女孩的愛心圖案。小女孩說：「你真是一個好朋友和好藝術家。」她快樂地和叮叮一起玩，一直玩到要回家吃晚餐了才互道再見。

DingDing jumped and jumped, jumped around the little girl. It printed a sign of heart around the little girl. “Thank you so much. You’re really a good friend and good artist.” Said the little girl. She played happily with DingDing until she had to go home for dinner and said good-bye to each other.

後來，叮叮看見有一個小瓶子躺在海灘上，他好興奮地說：「嗨，我的朋友，我是叮叮。」小瓶子回答：「嗨，叮叮，我是咚咚，我裡面有一封信，我要去寄信但是我沒有瓶蓋，所以我不能航行過海。」叮叮說：「沒問題，讓我們一起來完成。」小瓶蓋叮叮和小瓶子咚咚合在一起，漂洋過海了。

Then, DingDing saw a bottle lying on the beach. It felt so excited. “Hello, my friend, I’m DingDing.” The bottle replied, “Hello, DingDing, I’m DongDong. There’s a letter in me. I wlittle ant to send this letter but I have no cap, so I can’t sail across the sea.” “No problem, let’s do it together.” Said DingDing. Bottle cap DingDing and bottle DongDong matched and sailed on the sea together.

在一段漫長的旅程後，最後他們到達了另一個海灘。這時，一個貧窮的老人在海灘上走著，收集瓶子去賣。他撿起了叮叮和咚咚，發現瓶子裡的信。老人打開瓶蓋，拿出信來唸，信上有一個句子：「永不放棄，永懷希望！」同時，老人發現在瓶子裡還有一張彩券。

After a long long journey, finally they arrived in another beach. Meanwhile, a poor old man walked along the beach and gathered bottles to sell. He picked up DingDing and DongDong and found a letter inside the bottle. The old man opened the cap, took out the letter and read it, there’s a sentence on it, “Never give up and always be hopeful!” At the same time, the old man found a lottery also in the bottle.

你猜後來怎麼了？這張彩券中了第一特獎，贏到了一大筆錢！所以囉，這老人的生活完全改變了，他將叮叮和咚咚放在他家一個非常重要的地方，總是看著叮叮和咚咚說：「太感謝你們了，你們真是上天來的美好禮物。」

Guess what happened? The lottery got the first prize and earned a lot of money! So, the old man’s life totally changed and he put DingDing and DongDong on a very important place in his house. He always looked and talked to DingDing and DongDong, “Thank you so much. You’re really a wonderful gift from heaven.”

叮叮好快樂呀，他覺得自己真得很重要。他唱了一首不同的瓶蓋學校校歌：「小瓶蓋，有人愛，有人睬，小瓶蓋，真愉快，有未來5 ‧5 1 - -3‧3 2 - - 5 ‧5 6 1 - - 6 ‧6 5 1-- 1‧2 5 3 - - 2‧1 1 - -」

DingDing felt so happy and thought himself really important. He sang the song of BCS - Bottle Cap School and he changed a little. “Bottle cap, you’re so nice. you’re so great. Everybody care you. Everybody love you in the end. 5 ‧5 1 - -3‧3 2 - - 5 ‧5 6 1 - - 6 ‧6 5 1-- 1‧2 5 3 - - 2‧1 1 - - ”
