說明：“The Sound of Silence”是Simon and Garfunkel的成名作，也是著名電影畢業生(The Graduate 1967)的主題曲。這兩人因相近的合聲和彼此不穩定的關係而出名。他們最後的專輯"惡水上的大橋"(Bridge Over Troubled Water)即因兩人的意見不同而數度延後。他們是1960年代最有名的樂團之一，著名的歌曲有“The Sound of Silence,” “Mrs. Robinson,” “Bridge over Troubled Water” 和 “The Boxer.” 等。
