２０００年底　拉丁巨星瑞奇馬汀（Ricky Martin）發行第二張英文大碟〔Sound Loaded〕
在反應差強人意的首支單曲〔She Bangs〕後
２００１年２月推出第二首主打〔Nobody Wants To be Lonely〕
專輯版本來是首拉丁風格的抒情曲　由瑞奇獨唱
不過唱片公司為了市場考量　請來另一位當紅的西班牙裔混血小天后克莉絲汀（Christina Aguilera）合唱
並將歌曲節拍混得輕快些流行味也較重
然後再放入專輯重新發行
重唱後的版本比原曲精彩許多
此曲在美國相當受到歡迎有打入電台播放前十名
可是唱片公司為了增加專輯銷售並沒有發行商業單曲
所以最後在流行榜以＃１３告終
此外它在成人抒情榜得到＃３　 Billboard拉丁榜冠軍
至於海外反應也不錯　英國是＃４　加拿大＃６荷蘭＃３　瑞典＃３　芬蘭＃４　德國＃５
紐西蘭兩週冠軍　澳洲＃８　奧地利＃１３

MV選在一處華麗的拉丁教堂中拍攝攝影頗為精緻
只是體型袖珍克莉絲汀依偎在瑞奇馬汀身邊顯得更加嬌小了

一開始我還不是很喜歡〔Nobody Wants To be Lonely〕　不過後來覺得越聽越耐聽
