| Bob Marley被譽為雷鬼（Reggae）音樂教父，１９４５年在牙買加出生，因為成長環境十分貧困，使他對政治、信仰、社會、經濟甚至國際情勢都有獨到深刻的體會。憑藉著對音樂的敏感度和驚人的才華，他把熱情輕快的雷鬼音樂推向國際。他的音樂充滿批判和抗議，但也表達對自由、和平、人權、平等、關懷，及真愛的期盼。雖然Bob Marley只活了３６年，從１９６９出版第一張專輯，到１９８１因癌症去世，他留下許多膾炙人口的作品。
他最有名的歌包括《Get Up, Stand Up》（起來，為你的權力奮鬥），近年來已儼然成為反戰團體的國歌；《I Shot The Sheriff》（我射殺警長），敘述為了自衛，射殺官員的故事，後來被Eric Clapton翻唱；《No Woman, No Cry》（女人不再哭泣）是為女權運動發聲的名曲，這首歌在７０年代由女歌手Joan Baez（瓊．拜耶）唱紅；還有《One Love》（一份愛），更是為苦悶的人民所作的自由樂章。 在他生日的今天，再次回味他的音樂…… 《One Love》 One love, one heart Let's get together and feel all right Hear the children crying (One love) Hear the children crying (One heart) Sayin', "Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right."
