在十七、八歲的那個 七 0 年代，有一首英文老歌，叫morning has broken，中文翻做 「破曉」，最近較少聽到，偶爾在電台聽到的時候，仍讓人感動萬分，久久不能自己。

    這首歌最早是在警廣，平安夜的節目中所播，當時的主持人是 凌晨小姐，節目開播的時間，剛好由晚上的十一點開始，到凌晨的一點為止，每天凌晨零時開始，主持人第一首放的歌一定就是這首morning has broken，以迎接新一天的開始，因當時自己在台北念書，晚上在餐廳打工，每到午夜時分，也是餐廳生意最忙碌的時候，聽到這首歌，真讓人百感交集。

這首歌在台灣會大紅，也是拜凌晨每天的播放所賜，這是英國人 Cat Stevens 所做，這首歌可說是近百年來，歌頌一天或歌頌一個全新的開始，萬物的誕生最棒的歌曲，不止作者的歌聲低沈渾厚，聲聲讓人蕩氣回腸，歌曲，歌詞更是美到不行，到今天為止，各大唱片行都可以買到這張專輯，可見它在台灣人心目中受歡迎的程度。
