内卷involution

This is a newly coined internet term in China Mainland, referring to irrational internal-competitions, or people being forced to participate unwilling competitions, so any individual effort would be "inflated".  Under such circumstances, Chinese youth faces even more growing pains by a general mindset that personal success is more important than individual growth.  Peers are vying against one another vehemently, and parents striving to gain the advantage of not letting their kids lose in the starting line.  Therefore, all kinds of cram schools emerge, making education a lucrative business, which in turn worsening the already unhealthy "arm race" and make both parents and kids exhausted.

双減double reduction

The term refers to the countermeasure that China government is taking to address the adverse influence of above-mentioned "involution", aiming to alleviate the burden of students, either on normal or on extracurricular courses, in their stage of compulsory education. The purpose of double reduction is to make the education back to normal track in school, from where children can acquire holistic and balanced teachings in virtue, intelligence, and physical education, not focusing on personal success only.  More importantly, the government finally makes up its mind to get rid of the capitalistic hands out of those cram schools, as well as normal lives.

“飯celebrity fan clubs

It is the circles of fans within biz.  In order to enlarge the volume of the clickstream in internet traffic, some "stars" mislead fans to blindly pursue and him/her like copycats, through internet platform and media hype.  Some extreme fans would even forget their gender identity or "donate" all of they have.  Behind such a morbid and crazy scene, there must be some distorted capital chains in manipulating everything, toward which the government should not take a laissez-faire attitude anymore.
