In last two days, the top diplomats of China and the US met and a "strategy talk" at Anchorage, Alaska.  From the news and video released, we can see the atmosphere in opening meeting was just terribly suffocating, and the vehement tic for tac between two sides were kind of undiplomatic and even not tactful at all, let alone the niceties that should be well taken care of.  

The target of the talk for either side is vying for supremacy; that is for sure.  Am I the only one who has sensed that the US was hell-bent on containing China along with his "allies" like he did to former Soviet Union over thirty years ago, but now his spirit was willing, but his flesh had been weak.  Moreover, China is absolutely unlike former Soviet, and she is unable to be contained both economically and militarily. 

In short, the US is adopting a delay tactic, trying to gain time to maintain his supremacy and accommodate himself in sharing the power with China someday, while China is keeping on her own pace to develop herself with confidence and determination, regardless of any interference from outside.
