I watched two satisfactory games yesterday: Houston Astros beat New York Yankees to advance to World Series, and Chinese Taipei beat Japan in Asian Baseball Championship. I have never been a Yankees fan myself, even I did work and live in NYC several years during 90s. (I like New York Mets much better.) Well, how about Huston Astros? I am not their fan either, but I like that short second baseman Jose Altuve, and this time it was he who smashed a walk-off homer at the bottom of nineth inning to win the game. You know, love me, love my dog. (Please also refer to my previous writing: Jose Altuve at http://blog.udn.com/kkuo0810/108839538 two years ago) In the evening I watched the final of Asian Championship between Chinese Taipei and Japan. Though the tournament could not reflect the real ranking of Asian powers because no participation of pro players from the leagues of Japan, Korea, and Taiwan involved, still the result could be a boost for the baseball development in Taiwan.
