Hi, Greg.
Does your foot hurt?
A little. I often walk through the park to work.
(I sometimes run to school.
I usually drive to the supermarket.)
I stepped in a hole today.
What kind of hole?
I’m not sure.
But an animal probably lives in it.
Many animals dig holes for homes.
They live underground.
That can’t be very comfortable.
(A: I want to ride an ostrich!鴕鳥
 B: That can’t be easy.推測
 That can’t be true.
A: Look! Tom didn’t come to work today!
 B: That can’t be good.)
It’s comfortable for the animal!
Animals live in many kinds of homes.
They do.
Foxes and rabbits live in holes.
Sometimes the holes are big.
They have more than one room.
And they have more than one entrance.
Many birds build their nests in trees.
Yes. And they build them very well.
Birds’ nests are really amazing!
(This landscape is amazing!景色
 That’s an amazing painting.
We had an amazing adventure yesterday.)
Animals can live in many different places.
Some animals dig holes and live underground.
Their homes may have just one room.
But some have many rooms.
And sometimes an underground home has more than one entrance.
Foxes and rabbits live in this kind of home.
Birds build their homes.
Some birds build their nests in trees.
Others make them on the ground.
Birds in cities may build their nests on buildings.

Are you hungry?(tired? thirsty?)
A little.
So, you’re a little hungry, a little tired, and a little thirsty?
Yes. Because, I’m a little person.
Was that funny?
A little.

I live in a small house.
Dig a hole in the ground.
That fox can run fast!
Let’s build a sand castle.
A bird is sitting in that nest.

What do birds build?
They build nests.
Where do you live?
