１９８６年成立於紐約的封面女郎（The Cover Girls）是美國拉丁Freestyle舞曲團體

１９８７年以首張大碟成名

１９８９年夏天發行的第二張專輯［We Cant Go Wrong］標題曲更讓她們首度打入主流界的Billboard單曲榜前十名（＃８）　登上事業高峰（1990年初）

只是主唱Angel Clivillés決定追求個人音樂事業，１９９０年離開團體, 由Evelyn Escalera替代。

新組合首支歌曲是為慈善合輯［Music Speaks Louder Than Words］（1990年7月）灌錄的［Dont Stop Now／現在別停止］

這也是封面女郎在新公司──Epic唱片的首支作品。B面歌曲則是［Funk Boutique］。

［Dont Stop Now］登上Billboard單曲榜＃６３　

１９９０年末［Funk Boutique／放克小商店］開始在電台放送

並正式推出單曲──這回［Dont Stop Now］成了B面歌曲。

［Funk Boutique］由Tony Moran＋Andy "Panda" Tripoli譜寫, 並製作成一首Freestyle／電子放克(Electro)／流行舞曲

歌詞少量, 節拍輕快, 頗適合舞廳播放。長期合音──試唱歌手Debbe Cole聲音清楚可見。

［Funk Boutique］打入Billboard單曲榜＃５５──名次比［Dont Stop Now］更高。

另登上Billboard副榜－舞曲播放榜＃８, 在舞曲混音銷榜則以［Funk Boutique ／Dont Stop Now］掛名打入（1991年終#26）

發完這首單曲, 團員Margo Urban離開, 由Michelle Valentine替代。

１９９２年　封面女郎６月發行第三張專輯〔Here It Is〕,將一年半年前推出的［Funk Boutique］混音版收錄其中, 成為其名義上首支先發單曲

（實質首單為〔Wishing On A Star／祈求星願〕）
