I have experienced several shocks in ETGBC. The most unforgettable one is the first day when I came here and sat on a seat watching a graceful lady made her presentation. I was shocked. Not stunned by her charming young appearance, not dazed by her breathtaking beauty, though she was really an attractive pretty woman, but astonished at her almost impeccable speaking. She held an Apple tablet with a red cover and made the presentation with a sweet-sounding accent. She uttered every word in crystal clarity; she spoke English like a native speaker. I told myself that my goal in this class is to match her in English.
Three years have passed; you may wonder if I catch up with her English? Definitely not! My English has improved; however hers is close to perfect. In addition, she IS ABSOLUTELY much more beautiful and appealing now, and not long ago she held a brand-new bigger Apple tablet to introduce us her awesome aboriginal tribe trip in excellent English. She is a person gifted with a HEAVENly talent. I realize that I can never speak English as fluently as her; nevertheless, set it a goal and try to achieve it improving my English. It is one of the many important things I have leaned in ETGBC.

Henry:

Vietnamese working experience by Henry-

 Henry described his past experience when was assigned to Vietnam in 2003 as the leader of a consulting team for a project under Russian’s ZNSM to proceed with the consulting work of a refinery’s offsite facilities, which is located three hours taxi from Da-Nang.

He mentioned a diary report for his assigned project saved him to get the contract amount though the project has been terminated in the middle of the project and upon owner questioning no actual project progress has been approached.

Besides, for the tedious Vietnam war as lead by America – which was almost lasted around 20 years, Henry reminded  many terminologies and issues have  been brought up and shown on the newspaper during the period.  Such as the Vietnamese refugees escaped and took the boat to Hong Kong, the involvement of  Taiwan in said war, and antiwar activities of American baby boomer, etc.

At the end, Henry used the song,” blowing in the wind” to express his feeling about the endless war in the earth.
