If it is, then you must do certain things before you go to bed. It’s very important because unconsciously you need to understand this. You can incubate a lot of things, either negative things or positive things in sleep, or either pleasantness or unpleasantness. You can incubate very effectively uninterrupted sleep. Who knows how it will happen? But enjoy this every day that you will sit on your deathbed, looking back and see today the way I have handled 24 hours, is it worthwhile since I am dying? If you do this practice, you will live a worthwhile life. 6. Small things are big things, they should not be ignored. I have seen how people are carrying their own private pillows. They think they are very important. So your pillows, footwear, if you have relationships, everything that you have gathered, keep it aside and sleep. If you can sleep in this condition, you will wake up with much more light, energy, and possibilities than you ever imagined possible. While the activity is slow and you are in a state of relaxation, the body is also in relaxation, and the metabolism is also slow. But when you get up, there is an urge for activity. All the whole science of living things have built into your life in India, but you are just throwing them away. In yoga, they told you that before you get up, you must rub your hands together and place them upon your eyes gently. Why are you doing this? Because by doing this, you will see God. It’s not about seeing God. If you rub these two hands together, instantly, a whole range of nerves connecting with your eyes and other aspects of your senses come awake before you move your body. Your body and your brain should be active. You shouldn’t get up dumb. That’s the central point. Since all the nerve endings, a heavy concentration in these two palms. the system comes awake after rubbing them. If you are feeling asleep or sleepy, do this and see, everything will then come awake. So in the morning, before you move your body, you get your nerve system awake first. And then you roll over from the right and then get up.
8. Wake up with a smile. (帶著微笑起床) Today, if all of us go to bed, by tomorrow morning, nearly a quarter-million of people won’t wake up. Natural death in the world. Suppose you wake up tomorrow, but can you guarantee? Have you come out with a guarantee card? You don’t have to get up and dance. At least, you can smile. Till on, what a million people died, they were like you and me. They went off, isn’t it? Wherever you look, they are not there. Here I am still alive. One big smile, will you? I’m talking about management. Then if a quarter-million people died, three to five million people lost somebody who’s dear to them. You check those three, four, or five people, no matter to you, all of them are alive today. One more big smile. Will you smile or not? Suppose right now, we put a gun to your head, will you think it is a relief? No. You will be terrified, isn’t it? So it’s how precious it is to believe, isn’t it so? That’s how precious it is for you to be alive. So tomorrow morning, a quarter-million people died overnight, but you are still alive, doesn’t it at least deserve a big smile? And all the people that matter to you are all alive today, one more big smile. |
