A fellow bought a new Mercedes and was out on the interstate

for a nice evening drive.

As the needle jumped up to 80 mph

he suddenly saw a flashing red and blue light behind him.

"There's no way they can catch a Mercedes," he thought to himself and opened her up further.

 His needle hit 90, 100, 110. Finally, he pulled over.
他心想：「警車哪追得上賓士？」於是把油門踩得更重，

一路飆到時速90、100、110英里。他最後還是把車停下來。

The cop came up to him and said, "If you can give me an excuse for your driving that I haven't heard before, you can go!"
 警察走上前來告訴他：

「如果你想得出我沒聽過的飆車理由，我就讓你走。」

The driver replied, "Last week my wife ran off with a cop,

and I was afraid you were trying to give her back!"
男子回答：「我老婆上星期跟警察跑了，我怕你要把她還給我。」
