Merry Christmas", but "Happy Holidays"

Thomas Paine

I agree with you. Most Taiwaneses, like most American, have been brianwashed by American corporate media for years without realizing the truth. American capitalism system has its innate flaw since it's profit-driven, that most people don't fully understand. If Thomas Paine were around, he would have a heart attack after seeing the poor democracy condition in the States.

Thanks for your comment.  As refreshing and insightful as it is, it instantly up-lifts my spirit.  Being a first-time blogger, recently was accused of being simple-minded and racist by a fellow blogger,  I'm truly gratified by your sharing.

(1)Yes I do deny.

1.Warren Buffett, the richest man in America said, "Watch out those geeks with formulas."  Smart man like yourself should be able to realize to whom his finger was pointing.

2. This country has been losing it's christian values, which make it the greatest country in the world.  Of course, I don't expect you to agree with me on this.

3. You can always argue with that point.  Haven't we seen enough "back and forth" on the presidential debets?  The point is how effectively has the government reacted and prevented further chaotic fall?

4-6 It all goes down to the question again- who are the policy makers?  Not the congress, not the house, but the lobbyists, the special interest groups that ally for some  political characters with no integrity whom they can "lobby".  Do me a favor please.  Go look up  the only group  Paline was "allowed" to meet with after the GOP convention.

I also  had tons of loss on investment, but I worry more about social values collape.  That's why we have Madoff scandle and Citi chairman stepping down with 150 mill been paid to him over the years.  How about the hundreds and thousands people got laid-off and forclosed their houses?

Anyway, I apologize with my poor chinese wordings; however, I still stand by with my generally sincere  concerns.

You can't deny the fact that it was those Wall Street fancy financial structuring gave free pass to the risk takers who can't afford the housing but live on debts.  I wasn't conviently accusing the well-heeled, but simply pointing out the bankrupcy of the American fundamental values.

The truth is the govenment failed to prevent the trainwreck.  Paulson and Bernanke didn't even have a clue what was going on and further delayed to correct it.  What happened to the 700 billion bailout plan?

You're absolutely right, the capitalism didn't cause this crisis.  It was the policy-maker.  In fact, I don't like the democrats, but the republicans let the Jews "have their balls".  That's why I said it was the American tragedy!
