2018俄羅斯主辦的世界盃足球賽頻頻爆冷，德國在小組賽被南韓淘汰，阿根廷、英格蘭等強權輸給排名20的克羅埃西亞，C羅坐陣的葡萄牙無緣八強等等，讓球迷、專家不斷跌破眼鏡，這是怎麼回事呢？

 以下整理三個可能的原因：

賽前預測太相信大牌、過往戰績

在世足小組賽開踢前，德國、阿根廷兩個強權被許多人看好至少可以打入準決賽，英國名將貝克漢甚至預測決賽將由英格蘭對上阿根廷；但預測的憑據是什麼呢？大部份只是大眾對傳奇名將梅西以及德國過往戰績的信賴。然而；其實從預賽中就能看出德、阿兩國的狀態並不好，尤其是阿根廷，若不是梅西大爆發扮演救世主，阿根廷甚至連小組賽門票都拿不到。而德國在輸給南韓後，事後檢討才指出德國隊本屆的表現其實很差，得到悲慘的結局並不意外。

 足球強權國際賽太頻繁？

另一個可能的原因是強權國家的國際賽太頻繁，削弱戰力。本屆世足傳統強權德國、巴西、阿根廷都未打入八強，讓許多球評大感意外。對此，克羅埃西亞名將Davor Suker認為是強權們的國際賽太頻繁所致。

根據《聯合新聞網》，Davor Suker受訪時表示，世界頂尖球星與球隊在今年世足賽的表現不如預期，可能與他們舉辦過多的國際賽事有關。他思考著德國、阿根廷、西班牙以及國際足總和歐足聯是否該減少比賽數量。

傳控為王的打法正在淘汰的路上

大約十年前，以西班牙為翹首、注重傳控的打法主宰著世界足壇，西班牙最風光的時候是2008~2012年之間，拿下了一屆世界盃與兩屆歐錦賽冠軍；當時，控球率低的球隊幾乎沒啥勝算；然而，這種注重傳控的打法在近年漸漸失靈。以本屆世足為例，控球率高的阿根廷、德國、西班牙遇到嚴密的後場防守也無能為力，傳導不出什麼進球機會；反倒是那些擁有奔襲速度快的球員的球隊屢次創造令人冷汗直流的反快攻，更具威脅性。

法國對上阿根廷一役，19歲新星姆巴佩憑藉堪比短跑健將的速度屢次威脅阿根廷後防，竟一戰成名，法國三次進球都與他有關，賽後姆巴佩被比喻為球王比利再世。

本屆世足，控球率最高的前六國 ─ 西班牙、德國、阿根廷、沙烏地阿拉伯、瑞典、巴西都止步於八強，年輕力壯速度快的英格蘭反而闖進準決賽，成為唯一進入四強賽的傳統強國。
