HOW PANDA CAME TO BE

       On the sixth day’s morning, God creates a lot of animals; among which, black cat and polar bear are most cherished by God. God told the black cat: “You will represent fashion and mystery, and be one of the most attractive species,” and then told the polar bear: “You will be located in the place nearest to me, so you can be proud of it.” After these speeches, God takes a nap, and has a good dream.

      The black cat and polar bear start to argue who is more important for God immediately after they hear God’s snoring. The black cat meows and babbles, “I am the most fashionable animal!  I am the most attractive animal!” He acts like a spoiled child.

      Although the polar bear is arrogant and disciplined, he wants to maintain his tune, but gradually he thinks that the black cat is too naughty and has to learn a lesson. Thus the polar bear howls back, “I am closest to God, no body can replace me.” The sound of polar bear is so loud that it awakens God.

      God is infuriated by polar bear but also annoyed by black cat, so he decides to create a more attractive life. God thinks that this new creature should combine all the advantages of black cat and polar bear, and make it the most marvelous life. By doing so, he creates a life that is like cat and bear, is black and also white. When God finishes the artistic production, it’s already sunset. God calls it “panda,” and fell asleep with gratification.
